Places Legos DON'T Belong

The nose. It should let smells in and mucous out. Legos don't belong in that sentence at all. Apparently Nicole didn't agree.

It's hard to tell, but that lego is pretty far up there. Worse yet, she was crying hysterically and kept sniffing and getting it farther and father up her nose! Finally -- with the help of a small lollipop -- I got her to calm down and I armed myself with tweezers. She stops me and says, "wait, I want to look in the mirror and see it," Seriously? I'm worried this thing is going to get sniffed into her sinus or something and she wants to see it? So, I grabbed the camera and took a picture. She wouldn't let me pull it out until she had seen the picture.

(The first picture wasn't good enough. I had to open her nostril and take another picture with flash so she could see it. This isn't really the time to be picky, Sweetheart.)

I guess it had to happen sooner or later. Thank goodness I was able to get it out myself!

hahahaha. aidan did that with a shirt button last summer but he did suck it into his sinuses and after many failed attempts by nate, the urgent care doc, and the ent at the hospital he had to be put under and scoped to get it removed. crazy kids

It must be a rite of passage as a parent. Jadyn stuck a teeny-tiny bead up her nose. Afer an hour of holding her down and using a flashlight and tweezers, we gave up the good fight and took her to the ER. When I was there I took a few extra sticks with loops on the end just in case it ever happens again. Such a dumb reason to go to the ER. Glad you could get it out yourself!

I went to the doctor a couple weeks ago because my child did the same thing. He said whenever your kid does this...put your mouth over theres and plug the nostril that doesn't have the "thing" in it and blow hard and it will come right out!

Wow!! So funny!! I had a friend who took her daughter to the Dr the other day because she had her brothers TOOTH stuck in her ear!! He had lost a tooth and put it under his pillow for the tooth fairy and she snuck in there and started to play with it and somehow it got stuck way deep in her ear! The Dr was pretty surprised when he pulled a TOOTH out of her EAR!! Lol! Kids are CRAZY!!

Wow! Before you mentioned that it was Nicole, I was betting it was Tori. Did she put the lego there on purpose? How did that happen? Anyway... it is funny now. I'm knocking on wood that I don't ever have to fish out anything that does not belong in noses, and ears.
