Imagination can be a killer

Okay, so my kids are really getting good at using their imagination. They play with imaginary animals a lot. The current favorite is the pretend Pygmy Marmoset. (For those of you who don't watch Go, Diego, Go, a pygmy marmoset is a small monkey.) Right now they are playing with imaginary lightsabers. Unfortunately, we apparently only have one imaginary lightsaber. I kid you not, they are fighting over something that doesn't exist. It is an imaginary toy and it is invisible and they can't touch it, but they are still fighting over it. Wow. Only my kids could come up with something like that. Believe it or not, most of the time they get along quite well! In the small amount of time it took to type this, they have since resolved the issue by putting the imaginary lightsaber in the refrigerator because, obviously, it was getting too hot. I'm telling you, I'm not creative enough to make this stuff up so it has to be true. Now they are playing "pelota"--which is spanish for "ball" for those of you who don't regularly watch Dora the Explorer. See, who says kids tv isn't educational? What will these little rascals think up next?

So so so funny! I love that my kids use these terms on a regular basis also! My neice in fact just started talking a few months ago and one of her first words was "Ayudame" (spelling I'm sure isn't correct) For the longest time no one could figure out what she was saying but then after severl weeks we realized that she only said it when she was stuck or hurt or trying to get something that she could reach. Ayudame which of course is help me in Spanish. So funny

Hey Kristi! So I have entered the world of blogging! This story is so funny! They are so cute and I'm sure you are glad they are only 17 months apart now. Anyhow lets have a playdate soon.

Oh, my gosh! That made me laugh out loud. Better to use "imaginary light sabers" than the knives from an electric knife that my older brother and sister used as light sabers when they were little. Ha! Can't wait to see what else they come up with!
